Lo que pienso de "Time After Time"

English Review

Time travel has always been a subject that I really enjoy reading about, and, earlier this year, I had the incredible luck to read “Time Between Us”, written by the talented Tamara Ireland Stone, so, when I found the sequel to this beautiful story available on NetGalley, I just couldn’t resist requesting it; and, luckily, when I was approve for an e-ARC, I couldn’t wait another second and I started reading it right then :D And I must say, if “Time Between Us” was super cute and lovely, “Time After Time” is incredible romantic and unbelievable beautiful, I just couldn’t stop reading… I love this book!

The story takes place a few months after Time Between Us, but, this time, everything is told from Bennett’s POV, which made this book even more exciting for me, because I loved Bennett in the first book, but I wanted to know more about him, his family and his life, and in this new installment we get to see past and present, and how Bennett is trying to lead a “normal” life in his present, but, at the same time, trying to have a normal relationship with Anna, and that’s kind of the problem, because Bennett keeps using his ability to time travel, but sometimes, just sometimes, this ability comes with a price… I just couldn’t wrap my mind around everything that happens in this book, it’s so adorable since the beginning, because we get to know the other side of the story and understand why Bennett does what he does, and it was so amazing reading a POV so believable, because the peace and the way it was written was very different from Anna’s POV in TBU, and like that (: It was great reading how Tamara Stone got ahold of Bennett’s personality and give him his own persona and voice, and how this end up being a fun, fast peace and cute story, because I loved how Tamara Stone wrote Bennett and Anna’s dates (the one in Paris took my breath away), because it was magical and beautiful to read this chapters, but I also like when Bennett was in his time line, because everything was wrote in a way that wasn’t boring or tedious, and that’s what I like more about Tamara’s writing, that is juvenile and spontaneous, but is also well written and professional.
I just enjoy this book so much, not just the part of time traveling, but also the romance and the love story between Anna and Bennett, I just couldn’t get enough of this two being together, I like how their relationship has evolved from the first book, and how there’s more confidence and acceptance, and how this relation is not just plain or void, but it feels real, and has all the ups and downs of a normal romance between two teenagers. And then, there is the other mayor plot of the story, which is represent by the relation between Bennett and his grandma, Maggie, it was so tender and cute that this two get to leave the secrets behind and enjoy each other company, and the relation between Bennett and his sister, Brooke, because she actually care for her little brother and always tried to give him the best advices and always been supportive with him (: Family is important subject in the book, and that’s why I love it even more!

Love and family are the main plots in the story, but there are also a few subplots, which include friendship, second chances, fate, destiny, heart break, difficult decisions and doing the right thing… This book is more complex and has a lot of back ground, there were times when I just couldn’t hold back the tears, and other times when I just couldn’t stop feeling so happy and warm inside, and I just love feeling all those things with just one book, it was such a bliss reading Time After Time.

The characters are as lovable as in book one; Anna hasn’t change, she’s still the same down to earth and happy teenager that we met in TBU, she still has to get used to the fact that Bennett can stay in the past forever, but I admire how she handle herself and how she always look for the bright side in every situation (: Bennett is so freaking cute! I love him so much, and it was such an incredible experience seen things from his POV, and just couldn’t get enough of Bennett, because he’s this cute boy who is so in love that would anything to be with the girl he loves, but he’s also responsible and decided, and sometimes he has to do things that are harsh and painful, and that’s why I like Bennett so much! He’s the kind of guy I could fall for…

Time After Time is a beautiful and gorgeous story, about true love, family, second chances, fate and how our decisions can change our future, which made this an amazing sequel to a great first book, because it keeps all the good things from Time Between Us and multiplies them to create this wonderful book (: If you enjoyed and loved Time Between Us, you can’t miss this beautifully written sequel, you won’t be disappoint!

Thanks to NetGalley and Disney-Hyperion for the e-ARC of the book (:
