English Review

I was a bit dalayed with the review of this book, but it was just that I didn't know what I was going to write down about it and it was for a lot of reasons, the main two were that it took me more than a month to finish this, and the second was that, even when it took a long time to read the last page of the book, it wasn't like I didn't like the book, is just that I didn't feel connected with the plot or with the characters, and that's something that always make me stop reading a book, but with Indigo Awakening didn't happen that way, and it was kind of weird.

The first thing I'm gonna said is that the idea of this book is very original just for the fact that the author used the indigo kids as the central point of the plot and it was something I had never enconunter on a book before, and if I'm being honest, I didn't knew much about this kids until I did some research on the web (it was incredible to read about it) and come to the conclusion that this idea has a lot to offer for the rest of the series...

Now, with that cleared up, Jordan Dane's writting style is amazing, all the descriptions and the way he tells the story made the book seem a bit shorter and it made me feel exited in all the action scenes, with all the persecutions and fights, and the mistery kept me on the edge of my seat, and the romance was so tender and cute that I was really moved by it... But, I don't know, even when all the book was amazing and it had a win-win plot, something didn't feel quite right for me, it was like the book couldn't grab my entire atention (that's the reason why it took me so long to read it), I had to force myself to kept reading and, when I finally reached the half of the book, that's when I get hooked with the story.

The characters are, as the plot and the story, unique and realistic; each and everyone has a good personality, with their flaws and good treats... Rayne is a good protagonist, a rebel that would anything for the sake of her little brother, and Gabe is such a sweetheart, I just love the way Jordan Dane built his character... But, as the plot, I didn't felt connected with any of them, and when this happen, I just can't retain a lot of things in my mind, because the characters are what made me laugh at a funny scene or suffer at a dramatic one... A shame really, because I really liked Gabe :/

Indigo Awakening is good and interesting book, full of action, mistery and fights with incredible powers; the only thing that keeps bothering me is the fact that this book let me so indiferent when what I really wanted was to liked it... Maybe I'll re-read it in a few months and I hope I'll like it a bit more.
